Tucson Concussion Center provides baseline concussion testing and management of acute concussions as well as prolonged post-concussion syndromes.
Concussions can occur in athletes, active military, the elderly, at work, to victims of domestic violence and in motor vehicle accidents.
Most people with a concussion fully recover over a few weeks. But for some patients, prolonged symptoms can last much longer.
Recovery from a concussion is slower the younger the patient. A prior concussion increases the risk of future concussions and prolonged symptoms.
Tucson Concussion Center's trained healthcare professionals make Return to Play, Return to School or Return to Work recommendations to reduce the risk of complications.
